Shipping, returns, and how to get the most out of a soy candle.
Shipping & returns
How much is shipping?
Flat $6.95 anywhere in the US, free on orders over $60. Local pickup in Cape May County is free; choose it at checkout and we’ll email you when your order is ready.
How fast will it ship?
Orders leave within two business days by USPS Ground Advantage. Most East Coast addresses see delivery in two to four days. Candles are packed in molded pulp so the glass arrives in one piece.
Do you ship in summer heat?
Yes. Soy wax softens above 120°F, so in July and August we ship early in the week to avoid weekends in a hot truck. If a candle arrives with a slightly uneven top, it will smooth out after the first burn and is otherwise unaffected.
What is your return policy?
Unburned, unopened products can be returned within 30 days for a refund. If anything arrives broken, send us a photo within 7 days and we’ll ship a replacement at no charge.
Candle care
The first burn matters most
Soy wax has a memory. On the first lighting, let the melt pool reach the edge of the glass (about two to three hours) before blowing it out. That prevents tunneling for the life of the candle.
Trim the wick
Trim the cotton wick to about a quarter inch before each burn. It keeps the flame small, the glass clean and the scent even. Scissors or a nail clipper work fine.
How long does a candle last?
Our 13 oz candle burns for roughly 65 to 75 hours in three-to-four-hour sessions. Don’t burn longer than four hours at a stretch, and keep the flame away from drafts.
What do I do with the glass?
When about half an inch of wax is left, stop burning. Fill the glass with hot (not boiling) water, let the wax float up and cool, lift it out, and wash the glass. It’s a Libbey tumbler, so it’s dishwasher safe and holds 13 ounces of whatever you like.
Are the ingredients safe?
100% soy wax, lead- and zinc-free cotton wicks, and phthalate-free fragrance oils. Every product page lists what’s in it. Soap and shampoo bars list full ingredients as well; if you have a known sensitivity, write to us first.
